TENBY Tangent chairman Michelle was delighted recently to welcome 13 members and one guest, Gill, to the April meeting at Trefloyne Manor.
Tenby Tangent member Jill’s son Tom McHugh ran the London Marathon on Sunday on behalf of Prostate Cymru - a cause close to his heart. Tom has done a bit of recreational running, but this was his first marathon, and required some practice.
“I’ve been trying to fit the runs in around work and family life and there have been a lot of dark, head-torch-lit runs on soggy coastal paths over the winter,” he said. Visit his fundraising page www.justgiving.com/team/prostatecancerrunner to support the cause.
On June 1, a PSA test day is being held at Narberth RFC, £10 per gentleman. This is now done with a simple blood test. Ladies, give your husband / partner a nudge.
As one of her last duties, chairman Michelle presented her officers for the year, Jane M and Debs, with a thank you card and present.
Michelle was then presented with her jewel and thanked for her year of office.
Thanks go to Ruth W and Averil who organised the evening and provided the raffle prizes together with Michelle E which were won by Jane M, Debs, Averil and Jayne O.
The staff at Trefloyne deserve praise for their attentive service and the excellent meal.
Michelle E kindly offered to arrange the next dinner, which will be in June.
