A LARGE number of Tangent members met at Trefloyne Manor for their summer meeting. 

It was the first get-together with new chairman Michelle Evans in the chair. 

She warmly welcomed one and all and wished Melanie every good wish for a speedy recovery. She also wished Ruth Goldwait’s family a speedy resolution from all their glitches. 

As usual, the food at Trefloyne was stunning and enjoyed and complimented by all. 

The evening had been organised by Maggie Jones and Anne Hancock. To members’ delight, there was a raffle prize for every attendee, a beautifully wrapped surprise, a very kind and generous thought by Anne.  

Carried forward from the preceding Saturday morning Coffee Morning of the Friends of the Community, ‘Guess the Teddy’s Name’ was won by Majella Thomas. The Teddy’s name was ‘Bobby’ -an apt choice for Majella as she is grandmother to her new beautiful grand-daughter Bobbie-Rose. 

Tangent were delighted to welcome back Jilly McHugh after her operation for a new knee. Well done, Jilly.
