CONGRATULATIONS and best wishes to South Pembrokeshire & Cresselly Hunt Pony Club’s Mini Horse & Pony Care Team, who won the Area Qualifier and are now going on to compete in the International Championship! 

They are Pippa Wilson (now 9, only 8 when the team won), Clara Buckle (9) and Peyton Griffiths (9).

Back in April, the girls won the Area Mini Horse & Pony Care Competition at Bowlings Riding Centre, Haverfordwest, competing against 13 other Pony Clubs from a large area spanning Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Swansea and Neath.  

Next week they will be competing at The Pony Club International Blue Cross Horse & Pony Care Championship which is held at The Pony Club National Finals in Warwickshire against teams from all over the UK and China. 

South Pembrokeshire & Cresselly Hunt Pony Club wishes the team good luck: “This is a fantastic achievement and a fabulous experience to be a part of with their friends. 

“The social and life skills acquired through taking part in quizzes, horse and pony care in turn give members the confidence to speak to their peers, public speaking skills and teamwork.

“Most important of all, whilst they are having fun with friends, they themselves are becoming mentors and role models to other members in our Branch.

“We also wish all other Branches, throughout the UK and Internationally, competing at The Pony Club National Finals the best of luck.”
