IN three weeks’ time, Amroth will be hosting the 21st Wales Air Ambulance Angling Open.
The fishing competition in support of the life-saving helicopter emergency charity runs from 9am until 1pm on Sunday, January 12, with scales closing promptly at 1.30pm. It is presented by Pembroke and District, Osprey and Neyland Angling Clubs.
Adult entry costs £10, with prizes limited to one per angler.
First prize of £200 goes to the heaviest bag of flatfish; second prize is £100 for the heaviest fish (any fish), and a third prize of £50 will be awarded for the second heaviest bag of flatfish.
There will also be a Ladies’ prize, a free Junior (under 16) prize table, with prizes of £30, £20 and £10, and a Grand Raffle on the day with many prizes.

Rules: Fishing between signs only. No rod stands on beach, except stewards, until the angler has booked in. The Committee reserve the right to refuse entry and in disputes, their decision will be final. Dispose of all litter and rubbish appropriately, including any that you find, or take it home.
