Specsavers Pembroke Dock dispensing manager Rachel Morgan-Jones, who joined shortly after the store opened in 2004, is celebrating her 20-year anniversary this month.
Rachel, a qualified dispensing optician since 2011, is the store’s longest standing employee. She began her career at Specsavers as an optical assistant after completing her A-levels at a local college in 2004.
20 years on, Rachel works as a dispensing manager, and is currently supporting a team of 18 dedicated employees. In her current role, Rachel manages and inspires the team to provide outstanding customer service, whilst supporting continuous development and qualifications.
The team plans to celebrate Manager Rachel’s milestone, which coincides with the store’s 20th year of operating in the community, with a high tea and some fizz.
Rachel said: “I’m delighted to be celebrating 20 years at Specsavers and am so proud to be one of the store’s longest serving employees. I’ve enjoyed so many aspects of my job over the years, but the thing I’ve enjoyed most is building a rapport with customers old and new.”
Retail director Ellie Thomas-Wigley added: “We’re very proud to be celebrating not one, but two amazing milestones this year. We are so thankful to Rachel for her hard work and dedication over the years. Rachel is the backbone of the store and the team all look up to her. Rachel is a true leader and her passion in delivering first class eye care for our community ensures our customers are at the heart of everything we do.”
