Anniversaries will be the theme of a flower festival at the church at St Twynnells, that overlooks the Castlemartin Range at Merrion.
There will be arrangements depicting anniversaries from ‘50 years of ABBA’ to ‘Oak Apple Day’; ‘D-Day’ to ‘Moon Landings’ and of course, wedding anniversaries.
Refreshments, including lunches and home-made cakes, will be served from a marquee where these views can be enjoyed. On Sunday afternoon visitors will be treated to ‘Brass on the Grass’ when the talented local Castle Brass Band come to visit.
The festival opens today, Wednesday, July 10 and continues to Sunday, July 14. The Church will be open from 10.30am to 5.30pm each day.
