A new exhibition of works by Tenby based artist Anna Warchus opened at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery on Friday evening.

Trustee Neil Westerman introduced Anna to the invited guests by stating how much the exhibition had impressed him, the beautiful shapes and imaginative designs filling the gallery with colour.

Anna stated that the exhibition maps her journey with clay over the last ten years and reflects on specific moments of change.

“I have always loved the flexibility of clay and the anticipation as it turns into something different; how the firing process transforms what was once malleable and water-logged into resilient and impenetrable pottery,” she said.

Crucible, life changing events and eureka moments inform the stories in my abstract work and the spirit in which they are composed’”

The evening was a great success with several works being sold.

“Fabulous”, “absolutely brilliant” and “inspirational” were some of the words chosen by visitors to describe the exhibition curated by Alison Rayner.

The works are very reasonably priced with items priced for all pockets.

If you are looking for the opportunity to purchase an original art work for under £10 then the stoneware ‘Limpets’ and ‘Bisquettes’ may appeal to you. Only a limited number are available so visit today!

The exhibition entitled ‘Transitions’ by Anna Warchus runs until Sunday, June 30. The museum is open seven days a week from 10 am to 4.30 pm.
