A traffic collision on the A477 between Broadmoor and Redberth last Wednesday afternoon sadly proved fatal for one of the drivers.

Emergency services, including two Wales Air Ambulance helicopters, attended the scene as the road was closed for six hours.

Police in Pembrokeshire are appealing for witnesses who may have information about the incident - and in particular anyone who is able to provide video evidence.

The collision, which occurred at about 2.40pm on Wednesday, March 26, involved two vehicles: a red Hyundai and a white Ford Transit Connect van.

Sadly, an elderly woman, the driver of the Hyundai, died as a result of her injuries. Her family is being supported by specialist officers.

The road was closed for collision investigation and was reopened by 9pm.

Anyone who may have been travelling along the A477 between Broadmoor and Redberth at the time is asked to contact police.

Investigating Dyfed-Powys Police officers would particularly like to speak to any motorists who were in the area at that time who have a dash cam in their vehicles.
