Tenby RNLI Lifeboat’s volunteer crew has been out in rough seas again, in response to a child reported to be in difficulty in the sea off Broadhaven South.

The Haydn Miller was launched at around 5.20pm on Tuesday, August 20 after the Coastguard received the calls.

The crew made best speed in choppy seas, with Coastguard rescue helicopter 187 also making their way to the scene, some nine miles west of Tenby. Specially trained drone officers from Pembs road police team were also dispatched.

As the lifeboat was passing Manorbier, it was confirmed that the child had been rescued and was now safely ashore and being checked over by Paramedics.

The lifeboat was stood down to returning to station at 6pm.
